Bought an adapter for installing the DIY lense to camera body.

At first I thought using the camera body dust cover for this purpose but it had no locking system in it and it is plastic so this is much more durable being metal and it has locking. Bought this from the local department store named "Anttila" It cost 15 Euros.

Molding the lamp cover

Working with metal sheet scissors and removing the excessive parts.

Substracting the diameter to fit the lense to the camera.

Next I'm trying to fit this lamp cover between the lense and the camera body. Let's do some cutting work.

Next thing is to fit the lense to the camera . . .

. . . for having the exact measures between the lense assembly and the camera cell and for that I must find canon bajonett adapter and few pieces of tubes with different diameters. The outside diameter of the lense tube is some 13,5 cm which is a bit more than five inches. I may try to find cardboard tube for that end and maybe some plastic tubes near the camera so that they slide over each other for letting me to determine the projector lense optical nature. The CRT-side of the lense must be situated at the side of incoming light. That is because of the thing that if I place the lense other way around, the lense forms the picture so close the lense that I'm not able to connect the camera so close. After having the measurements done and having taken some shots I may decide to draw the proper construction plans for this project. And if someone reads this blog, forgive my English skills. Time to time the text might sound odd for those who are native English speakers. And do not expect me for doing something with this project every day. I've got lots of projects and this is only one among the others. No picture today.

Testing the lense.

So, I did put the lense on a pillow and pointed it to the stairs at the hall whilst at the other end of the lense there is a paper where, I supposed, should appear a picture. The stairs has lamps and I thought that maybe something of them reflects to the paper behind the lense. And it did. A bit closer, a picture that appeared on paper: As you can see it's upside down but this is what I was expecting. The image at paper sheet is a bit blurry but at this moment I did not try to make it as sharp as possible. Let's get in to that later on.
